A Skeptic's Prayer

By Philosopher Peter Kreeft

God, I don't know whether you even exist. I'm a skeptic. I doubt. I think you may be only a myth. But I'm not certain (at least when I'm completely honest with myself). So if you do exist, and if you really did promise to reward all seekers, you must be hearing me now. So I hereby declare myself a seeker of truth, whatever and wherever it is. I want to know the truth and live the truth. If you are the truth, please help me.

Jer 29:12,13 states, "Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

Mark 9:23,24 states, "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief."

John 8:32 states, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
