COVENANT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry: And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies. (Psalm 106:44,45)

KNOWING that "the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof," we solemnly covenant before Thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God, that we will keep this covenant by your enabling grace and to faithfully stand in this evil day...and...

KNOWING that we battle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers both in their heavenly and earthly manifestations:

BELIEVING that we have dealt very corruptly against Thee by our laxity toward Thy Holy Law and, in failing to faithfully to teach and maintain that Law, we have made idols out of the things Thou hast blessed us with. We have refused to put difference between the holy and profane, the clean and the unclean, therefore we have allowed our cities to become open sores. The blood of the slaughtered infants, the cries of our children molested by homosexuality, the rape of our youth’s minds in government public schools all cry out against us. It is clear, as we stand teetering on the cliff above the sea of perversity with a millstone about our corporate neck, that you have heard the cries of the children we have led into sin and have caused to stumble.

THEREFORE believing that repentance must precede any godly zeal in our hearts, we highly resolve and humbly implore Thee to forgive our manifold transgressions, to cleanse us from our complicity and complacency with the dominant evils of our corrupt land and to absolve us of our treachery that has deeply offended your holiness. We acknowledge our preference for ease, our lust for materialism, and our compromise of Thy command, "to be Holy as Thou art Holy." We confess above all that the condition of America testifies that our greatest sin is that we have failed to love you with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. This violation of your First Commandment has brought your righteous judgments upon us, our families, our churches, our cities, and our land.

ACCEPTING and desiring to meet the conditions that will cause you to hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and bring healing to our land, we now pledge to love the Lord our God with all our hearts and our neighbors, including the unborn, as ourselves. We earnestly beseech Thee to turn from Thy fierce wrath and to bless our resolve as your people to pray, to speak for those who can’t speak for themselves, and to intervene on the behalf of "the least of these" according to Thy Word.

WE COVENANT BEFORE THY THRONE to seek after the holiness and purity of Thy Kingdom. We humble ourselves under Thy mighty hand to give you a reason to show mercy when our nation and the Church is begging for Thy judgments. In conformity to Thy will, we will address the Church’s and society’s sins. We accept the call to pray without ceasing, to love what you love, and to hate what you hate. We will pray specifically for the protection of the "fruit of the womb," the heritage of the Lord, our children. We will pray for true repentance or swift judgment to fall, according to Thy Word, upon those who slaughter the unborn or cause children who are born to sin and stumble. We will testify publicly of the heinous act of child-killing committed against Thy Majesty and in violation of Your Image. We commit to stand in this evil day to the very limit of our convictions so the Church of Jesus Christ will once again be salt to the earth and light to this world.

FINALLY, O Lord our God remember Thy mercy in the midst of Thy judgment. Remember, that we are but dust and our fleeting lives are but a vapor. Please draw near and spare Thy people, for why should the heathen boast, "Where is your God?" Lord, may your strong hand humble our pride, open our blinded eyes, and soften our hardened hearts. We cry out to Thee, O Author and Finisher of this great covenant and work to uphold our endeavors, to strengthen our resolve, and to bless our commitment with your enabling grace.

FLIP BENHAM IS RELEASED

"And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him." (Acts 12:4,5)

Praise God, brethren, God has heard our prayers and released our precious brother from jail! I want to thank all of you who prayed, wrote letters, and sent support to Flip’s family in his absence. Truly, it was a sweet smelling sacrifice that was pleasing to our Lord on the behalf of His prophet that thunders His Word where- ever the enemy raises his ugly head.

Flip was set free on May 8th, 1998, from the Lynchburg City Jail. He was sentenced to a one-year sentence (six months suspended) for misdemeanor trespassing. This severe sentence was issued because Flip and 300 students from Liberty University dared to bring the Gospel of the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ to the politically correct zone outside of E.C. Glass High School. School officials were enraged as they witnessed Christians sing, pray, and pass out Gospel and pro-life literature to the students entering the school.

Though we should rejoice that our brother has had his liberty restored and is home with his family, we must also see the ominous cloud of intolerance and censorship that is raging against Christianity in America. F.A.C.E., RICO statues, judicial injunctions, unconstitutional city ordinances, frivolous lawsuits, and draconian jail sentences all point to the hostility this nation is unleashing against Christians who expose evil and publicly stand for righteousness. Obviously, the god of tolerance that America has erected cannot tolerate the claims of the true and living God and therefore the Gospel witness in public must be stopped at all costs. God Almighty, forbid it!

WHICH IS MORE VALUABLE?

If you chose the unborn child, I’m sorry for you and our blood-stained nation that you’re 100% wrong. At least according to the current "law" of the land, U.S. Code, Title 16, Section 668, the eagle egg takes precedence over the human child in the womb. A person who would dare kill, damage, transport a bald eagle, its egg, or nest is subject to a fine of up to $5,000.00 or imprisonment for up to one year or both. This penalty is for the first offense only. God help you, if you’re caught a second time. Whereas, the unborn human baby is not recognized as a person, therefore it is not protected and is treated as less valuable by law then a bird’s egg. There is no penalty for tearing apart or poisoning an unborn baby to death. In fact, a man and woman who destroy their offspring in the womb are celebrated in this nation for exercising their rights of "choice." The "doctor" who performs this abominable act is honored as he gets paid a hefty fee to reduce God’s precious gift of life to a piece of trash to be discarded at will.

What’s wrong with this picture? Does anything rise up within you and cry, "Something is wrong here, something is terribly wrong!" Are you troubled by this insanity and injustice? I pray so! The only question that remains is, "How,with all our education, technology, and prosperity, did we arrive at this bizarre state where a bird’s egg is more valuable and more protected than a human child. There are answers, but you and I need the courage to face the truth and make some serious changes in our lives. For the remainder of this tract, we will be investigating the only accurate, reliable source that can pinpoint the problem, the Holy Bible. It will also provide the solutions we need to put an end to this hellish nightmare that is drowning our nation in a sea of blood and perversity.

I would challenge all who read this tract to study Romans chapter one in the New Testament. It will clearly reveal what has happened to our thinking, logic, and morals (or lack thereof) that has reduced us to this depth of depravity. It will be like reading an editorial page in your local newspaper, lamenting the sickening state of affairs in current America, except this editorial was written nearly two thousand years ago.

Romans 1:18-32 describes in agonizing detail the folly and subsequent disintegration of a society that abandons God and His Holy Word as the standards by which man ought to live. It shows the high cost for low living. It lists the litany of woes that will befall a culture that refuses to acknowledge, glorify, and be thankful to God. The results of this rebellion eventually cause nations to spiral down into moral anarchy, perverse barbarism, and cruel violence simply because man in his pride thinks he is smarter than God. "Professing themselves to be wise they become fools" (Romans 1:22).

The bottom line is, a society that exchanges the truth of God for a lie (evolution, for instance) will end up worshipping and serving the creature (be it human or animal) rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. (Romans 1:25). This dilemma is how we have come to the pathetic state where you can butcher a human baby and throw that child away with the evening trash and then prosecute those who would harm a bird’s egg. In our darkened minds this makes perfect sense, at least, according to the law of the land that has in the name of "choice" broken and disregarded God’s Law, "Thou shalt not kill."

We must understand that when men de-value God and His Laws, they automatically de-value and trash the sacredness of human life as well. A life that God created for our benefit and for His pleasure. You see, human beings are the crown of God’s creation. We are far more valuable in God’s mind than any other creature that inhabits the earth. Jesus said, "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are more value than many sparrows (Matthew 10:29-31)."

Did you catch Father God’s heart and priority? He notices a sparrow when it falls to the ground. In other words, God is concerned and cares about the Animal Kingdom, but nothing compares to the value he places on human life. According to Jesus, you are more valuable to God than "many sparrows." Think about the 1/3rd of the Roe vs. Wade generation that has been killed in the American Holocaust that could have been spared, if we were in our right minds as God intended and had our priorities in order. Our nation would not be drowning in a sea of blood and our young people would not be the prey of evil that is now savaging them.

You may be asking why does God place more value upon humanity than on the rest of His creation? It stems from the fact that only human beings are made in the image of God. The Scriptures teach that when God created the heavens and the earth, He spoke them into existence, except for one creature, man. He lovingly crafted man from the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, thus man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7). No other creature on earth carries the image of God, except for man, and that in and of itself makes you and I special. Of course, through sin, (the breaking of God’s Laws) that image has been tarnished and marred, but that mark is there nonetheless.. That is why abortion is such a heinous sin against God and a crime against humanity, for it destroys the image-bearers of Christ. It mars the very image of God. Now, one last question.

WHICH IS MORE VALUABLE?

"Jesus said, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul." (Mark 8:35).

From Jesus’ words, we understand that the human soul is of great value. In fact, out of the approximately 5 to 6 billion people on Planet Earth, your one soul is valuable beyond compare. Just as rarity determines value in precious metals, so your value is determined by the fact that there is only one unique you in all the earth. According to Jesus, all the combined wealth on earth cannot compare to the preciousness of your one soul to God. He also said that you can gain all the wealth this world has to offer and still lose what is of true and lasting value, your own soul. The truth is, there is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun.

In response to the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850

The main reason why human life is more valuable than a bird’s egg is because Jesus Christ died for you. He died an agonizing death on the cross, so you might know the gift of eternal life and escape the horrors of hell. The Bible teaches, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16)." It also proclaims that God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Repentance means to change your mind, your heart, and your way. God wants you to understand it is not His will for children to perish by abortion, nor for you to perish in your sin. I plead with you to repent and surrender your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ today. Study the Bible! Only then can we begin to think straight and have our priorities in order. Then maybe, once again, we would value human life more than a bird’s egg!

We passed out thousands of copies of this tract at our recent "God is going back to School" campaign. Though I was threatened with arrest, we were still able to minister and reach out to the young people at the Public High Schools with the message of the Gospel of Life. All together, eleven precious souls were birthed into the Kingdom and added to God’s Church. There may be more that God has convinced since then, but as of yet, we have not been made aware. Only Heaven will measure the full impact upon the lives of those who heard and saw the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom lived out at the "gate" of the Public Schools. We must continue to pray that the Lord of the harvest will send more laborers to and raise up laborers within to reap a mighty harvest at these temples of humanism called Public Schools. OPERATION PUSH BACK: ORLANDO, FLORIDA, May 31st-June 7th, 1998

Operation Rescue National, working in conjunction with the American Family Association and local Florida churches, are preparing for our annual national event in Orlando called, "Operation Push Back." I’ve just returned from one trip to Orlando and am now getting ready to embark on another to help prepare the way of the Lord to the tourist capital of the world. It has been a fruitful time of doing interviews, meeting with police, preaching in churches, and challenging pastors to be involved in this window of opportunity to impact Orlando with the claims of Christ. The Scripture above is the mandate that will lead us into battle against the "Wicked One" that is savaging this generation through abortion and sexual immorality. We are determined in the face of much adversity to give a certain trumpet sound that will reach Heaven, ignite God’s church, and demolish the strongholds of darkness. Your prayers and support are vital to those who are going to pour out their lives as a drink offering to their King and for the children He loves.

There are three specific "Gates" that we will address during this appointed time. Our main emphasis and effort will be concentrated at the "Gates of Hell" at the local death camps in Orlando. There are four abortion mills. One of them does late-term abortions. We are praying that God will go before us to shut these dens of slaughter down, thus liberating many children and their parents from the horrors of abortion. The second "gate" to be confronted is Barnes and Nobles, who under the guise of art is promoting child-pornography, which not only fuels pedophile lust, but subliminally sends an unmistakable message to physically harm children. We are hoping to have those who have been victimized by child-pornography to testify that there is a good reason why child-pornography needs to remain illegal. The final "Gate" to be faced is the Homosexual agenda. On June 6th, approximately 100,000 sodomites will invade Disney for "Gay Day." Their motto is "Days of Magic and Nights of Pleasure." We will be there with former homosexuals to debunk the myths promoted by the homosexual movement and to show living proof that homosexuals can be transformed by the loving power of the Gospel.
