Volume 18 Issue 10 - October 2003 LONG TRAIN A COMING "Has a nation changed its gods, which are not gods? But my people have changed their glory for what does not profit. Be astonished, O heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid; Be very desolate says the Lord. For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns-broken cisterns that can hold no water." (Jeremiah 2:11) For the last several decades America and western civilization have gone through a cultural, religious transformation. Our culture, schools, homes, churches, businesses, and government have relentlessly pursued the "Great Exchange." This "Great Exchange," however, is not consistent with the gracious exchange offered by our Lord in Isaiah 61:3, "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified." Our nation laughs and scoffs at considering such an exchange today. We are considerably more sophisticated, enlightened, and open minded to trade our sins and sorrows for the awesome and wonderful salvation of God. No, like a worn out car, America has traded in the one true and living God, for a pantheon of gods, which are no gods at all. Marxism, multi-culturalism, humanism, secularism, relativism, egalitarianism, hedonism, and paganism, have arisen with all their perverted glory to replace the Rock of Ages as the new and improved foundation of America. Magically, evil is now good, tyranny is security, and law is what despots in black robes conjure up in their ivory Federal and Supreme Court towers. Our we horrified yet? Our we astonished at this pathetic state of affairs in the land of the free and the home of the brave? Unfortunately, not even close. Most of us are still convinced that these broken cisterns we’ve hewed out are going to preserve the sweet waters of liberty for us and our children. The blind are indeed leading the blind and America will fall into a ditch, lest we repent. How is it that we arrived at this crucial juncture in America’s history? I believe the answer is two-fold. First, the bad theology that took hold of the church in the 1800s called dispensationalism. It is this fanciful doctrine concerning the end times that is advocated by the "Left Behind" fame. Left Behind movies, books, and pamphlets are the craze in the church world today. Christians gobble it up and think that this series of fictional novels are the inspired, immutable, and inerrant word of God. I’m convinced, however, that this theology, or lack thereof, is responsible for removing the fight from the church. The fruit of this belief system has produced the disobedience, abandonment, neglect, retreat, and fatalism amongst God’s people. It is this theology that binds the church to inaction and silence in the face of unprecedented evil in America, because we are convinced this is God’s will. To rise up and fight against abortion, sodomy, and the increasingly atheistic state of America would be in effect to fight against God. Who in their right minds wants to fight against God’s will? Thus, the church is content to stay in our buildings, sing songs to Jesus, and look upon the demise of America as a "sign of the times." Yes, America is dying, so let’s all look up for our redemption is drawing near. Try telling that theological fable today to our Christian brethren that have suffered under the heels of Communism and Islam for decades. They once believed the American Missionaries that they will fly away soon and escape the oppression of brutal dictators. They know better now. The only question is when will the American Church know better? When we are under the same heel? If you’re the enemy, obviously, you are a happy camper. You can rob, kill, and destroy with no resistance from the one entity that can take you on and take you out, the Church of Jesus Christ. Why? Because the Church is convinced that She is going to fly away any second and escape Her responsibilities to fulfill the Great Commission in the earth (Matthew 28:18-20). Isn’t that special? Bad theology will always produce bad behavior. Secondly, as the church began to weaken from within, the enemies of the cross from without became emboldened with an agenda to dramatically change the United States of America. Foes within our American household conspired to radically transform our nation into a secular, godless state. In the early 1900s, men like Roger Baldwin, founder of the ACLU, and women like Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood plotted to undermine and overthrow the Christian foundations of our nation. Most of these groups were Communistic or socialistic politically. Philosophically many of them held to the doctrine of Eugenics. This philosophy advocated the notion that Aryans, the blond hair, blue eyed race was the superior race. All other races were inferior and were allowed to exist only if they did not infringe on the resources that were to be preserved for the so-called superior race. This is what gave rise to the myth of the World Population explosion. It was also this demonic philosophy that inspired Margaret Sanger to establish Planned Parenthood. "More from the fit and less from the unfit" was her motto. Of course, she was the goddess who determined who was fit to live and who was unfit. She actually stated that the use of birth control would lead to a cleaner race. Thus, it is no mere coincidence that Planned Parenthood is entrenched in minority areas. Yes, the roots of abortion and birth control in America was fueled by a racist agenda. Ideas have consequences and our black brothers and sisters have fallen prey to genocide by a smiling wolf in sheep’s clothing. Because these folks were liberals and thus cowards, they did not seek a bloody insurrection to overthrow America. The Church, though weakening through bad theology was still much stronger back then and carried much more influence than today. The same could be said of the Congress of that time period. It was in their think tanks that they sought the way to bypass these two major obstacles in their quest to dominate America with their godless agenda. Eventually, they came up with the idea called Judicial Activism. Slowly but surely, they trained up their lawyers and began to place them in local, state, and federal judgeships. It took several decades for their plans to come to fruition, but for all intents and purposes, they have succeeded in their quest. None of their agenda of abortion, sodomy, and the removal of the knowledge of God from the public life of our nation came by the vote of the people through their elected officials. All of it has come through the unelected and unaccountable judges who have legislated this tyranny from the bench. It is important to note at this juncture that our Founding Fathers were aware of this danger and warned against this despotism. Thomas Jefferson stated, "The Constitution is a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary, which they twist and shape into any form they please." In another statement he declared, "You seem…to consider the judges as the ultimate arbitrators of all constitutional questions; a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one that would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy." Unfortunately, we, nor our recent predecessors, have taken heed. The Constitution has been transformed from a fixed standard of law to a "living document." Thus judges can now manipulate it to legislate evil, bloodshed, and perversion from the bench. As stated before, the church, due to escapist theology, is largely responsible for our national malaise that tyrants love to exploit. Lamentations 4:12,13 reveals this truth, "The kings of the earth, and all inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy could enter the gates of Jerusalem-because of the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, who shed in her midst the blood of the just." The Biblical meaning of gates is important to understand in order to register the weight of this Scripture. In the Bible, the gates represented the seat of political authority, judicial authority, and the seat of commerce. Carefully note that the enemy cannot capture these gates, until they first pass through the sins of the church. The hard lesson of history is, you cannot have a tyrannical government without an apostate church. They walk hand in hand and cannot long endure apart from each other. It has been through our silence, inaction, and lack of outrage at the long train of abuses that has emboldened the powers of darkness to unleash this tyranny upon us. We have refused to act against the fruits of America’s idolatry, such as, abortion and sodomy, and now our enemies strike at the very root of our liberty, the acknowledgement of God and His law in the public life of our nation. For the truth is, if there is no transcendent God to cry out to or no higher law for America to acknowledge, then there is no basis for our freedom. Plus, we are still a rouge nation that is in rebellion to a lawful authority i.e. England. The church must confess our sin of forgetfulness as well. Psalm 88:12 states, "Shall your wonders be known in the dark? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? These are rhetorical questions that have only one true answer and that is, of course not. We are ignorant of our historical legacy that can be summed up in this quote, "Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God." We have forgotten the lessons of Lex Rex (The Law is King) and the overthrow of the hellish doctrine of the "Divine Right of Kings." We have forgotten that Christianity decentralizes power because of the sinful nature of man. It was this Biblical and historical knowledge that inspired our Founding Fathers to create a system of government with the checks and balances. Checks and balances that our being removed even as I write by courts who have become a law unto themselves. Brethren, we must awaken to the truth that the church has either been complicit or complacent, when it comes to the dominant evils of our land. Our only recourse is to repent and then bring forth fruits meet for repentance. 2 Corinthians 7:10,11, points the way out of this mess, "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter." Thomas Jefferson once declared, "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance." Our Founding Fathers, our Pilgrim Forefathers, the Reformers, the Martyrs, and every righteous spirit that has been justified by faith have sowed the blood, sweat, and tears to pass on a legacy of freedom. We are living off the fumes of their legacy. The capital of liberty they invested is being squandered and the demand for another investment is now crying out to us. Will we heed the call, will we make an investment to insure freedom for our children’s future, or will we allow the government of the people, by the people, and for the people to perish from the earth? They that have gone before us have faithfully run their lap of the race, fought the necessary battles, made the righteous stands, and were willing to sacrifice. Christians from the Central Texas area will gather at the Federal Court building at 700 Lavaca to conduct an Ecclesiastical Court at 11:30 am. "Enough is enough," stated Rev. Rusty Lee Thomas. "We are tired of the federal judiciary under the color of law being used by atheists to destroy the substance of our liberty. For the last forty years or so, we have witnessed a long train of abuses by our federal courts. It is high time for the Constitutional chains to be placed back on these rouge courts that legislate from the bench. It is time for the church and all concerned citizens to rise up and roll back this tyranny." "On Thursday, September 25th, we will hold the Federal Courts of our land in contempt of God’s court! We will hold them in contempt of the Court before whom every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Every Decision they have made that has defied the authority of Almighty God, removed His Holy Laws from the public life of our nation, and codified evil into law, we are simply stating those Decisions are no longer binding upon us, our children, or this nation." DECLINE OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." (Galatians 6:9) Women’s Collaborative Effort After two months of storming the gates throughout America, Liz and I, plus the Thomas nation returned home to receive encouraging news on the battlefront here. Several months ago, we confronted the Komen’s Race For The Cure for breast cancer with their blatant hypocrisy. On the one hand, they go to great lengths to raise money for research to prevent breast cancer and on the other hand, they send a good portion of these funds to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood peddles birth control and slaughters children in their mother’s wombs. It’s been medically proven that both practices have increased the specter of breast cancer in woman. My question to the Komen’s leadership was, "How can you say your goal is to end breast cancer, when you give your money to an organization that facilitates the disease?" Some hated the question, while others pondered its legitimacy. Behind the scenes, we worked with them to help come up with an alternative to Planned Parenthood. We contacted Carenet, our local CPC, to see if they would be willing to be a Christian organization that would provide the medical screening for the poor women that flocked to Planned Parenthood. They readily agreed. We then contacted Mr. Gary Heavin, Founder and CEO of Curves International. Mr. Heavin is a wealthy man who is a committed Pro-life Christian. He is the premier customer of the bank that sponsors Komen. He graciously returned our phone call and promised to use his influence to convince the bank to give some of the funding to Carenet, so they could take care of the women, instead of Planned Parenthood. Several months passed and, lo and behold, on Tuesday, September 23rd, in the year of our Lord 2003, Carenet held their annual banquet. It was the most attended, and as far as I was concerned, the best one to date. At the end, a major announcement and press statement was issued for Central Texas. Gary Heavin made a five million dollar grant to Family Practice, Carenet, and McCap. These groups and ministries would receive one million dollars a year for the next five years. Between the three of them, they will provide every service that Planned Parenthood provides, except for two major differences. They will not provide abortion, but a hope that leads to life and they will also provide all the comprehensive health care women need absolutely free of charge. Neither the women nor the tax payer will foot the bill. Plus, Carenet will now be empowered to provide something Planned Parenthood would never consider, a Christian adoption agency in Central Texas. Carenet will be there to walk women through the entire adoption process, if they choose to put the baby up for adoption. They will then make sure that these children our placed in loving Christian homes. It is a win, win situation and we give God praise. Obviously, Mr. Heavin went way beyond just exercising his considerable influence. He stepped up to the plate in a major way. As a result, no longer can Planned Parenthood claim the high moral ground that has deceived the masses by stating they provide services for women that nobody else does. No longer will women be enslaved to receiving "health care" from an odious organization that kills children, spreads immorality, and has provided a safe haven for pedophiles that prey upon our daughters. Mr. Heavin has removed the mask of legitimacy from Planned Parenthood and is helping to make their "services" obsolete. Planned Parenthood’s Business Decreasing The next piece of good news came from Planned Parenthood’s abortion mill on Wednesday, September 24th. An inside source approach me as we were holding church at the gates of hell. This person informed me that for five weeks straight Planned Parenthood’s "business" has suffered a decline. In fact, since last year, they have lost half of their "business." What makes this significant is that the collaborative effort sponsored by Mr. Heavin has not been implemented yet. Couple that with the fact that the most stringent state laws in the United States against abortion will not be enforced in Texas until January. At that time, Planned Parenthood will be forced by law to give each woman seeking an abortion a packet of life-saving materials. The women will then have to wait 24 hours before going through with the horrifying act of abortion. The packet will include the link between abortion and breast cancer, actual pictures of the developing child in the womb, and other agencies that will help bring that baby to term. Texas is the first state to officially acknowledge the link between abortion and breast cancer. Statistically, some of the states who passed less stringent 24 Hour or "Right to Know" bills have witnessed up to a 50% drop of abortions in their states. The Lord only knows what Planned Parenthood will face in Texas starting in January, but I believe its safe to say decline is the hand writing on the wall for Planned Parenthood. The last major assault Planned Parenthood is seeking to avoid is the lost of their funding from the tax payers in America. Texas voted to remove all funding from any organization that performs or refers for abortions. Planned Parenthood has since sued to hopefully reinstate the funding. A court trial will determine the outcome. If indeed, the ruling stands and the funds are not returned, Planned Parenthood has admitted, their reign of terror will come to an end. To that end, will you continue to pray and support our efforts in Jesus’ Mighty and Holy Name! WASHINGTON DC, OCTOBER 6th, 2003 Over thirty different cities participated in the Ecclesiastical Court sponsored by Operation Rescue/Operation Save America on Thursday, September 25th, 2003. Men of God led the Church of these cities to hold the Federal Courts in contempt of God’s Court. Now, another call is going forth to come to Washington DC. Christians have an appointment with destiny that we should keep. On Monday, October 6th, 2003, the Church of Jesus Christ will reassert herself as a legitimate government in the earth by holding the Supreme Court in contempt of God’s Court. Saints from all over the nation are expected to arrive in our nation’s capital to remind the Supreme Court that they are not Supreme. There is a Court higher than them. It is this Court before whom every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Please pray for the Thomas Nation. Liz will remain behind with the boys, while I lead my daughters to the gates of the Supreme Court. This journey with my daughters will double as a homeschool field trip. We will go to different American landmarks in Washington DC, where the stones cry out for us to remember our godly heritage.
