STAYING IN WACO After much prayer, wrestling, and struggle, it appears the Lord will have us stay here in Waco. The move to North Carolina has been canceled. I have been in conversation with Flip Benham and he never really had complete peace about us coming to join with him there. He had a check in his spirit and wondered if the Lord was truly releasing us from our service in Waco. Combine that with the comments of several Christian leaders from around the nation as well as good friends, the Lord confirmed His will for us to remain here to work in the city of Waco and from Waco to minister to America. I’m so sorry for any confusion or inconvenience I may have caused as I have struggled through this process trying desperately to discern the Lord’s will. Peace and joy have returned to my heart and I am invigorated to serve the Lord here in Waco. We will continue to storm the gates, push back the powers of darkness, and by God’s grace set the captive free. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to respond to this message. WORD AT THE GATES March 19th and 20th, 2003, Waco, TX "When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which He shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it." (Deuteronomy 31:11-13) To celebrate our staying we are putting together an outreach in Waco called the "Word at the Gates." If you are in the Central Texas area, I'm inviting you to come and participate in the "Word at the Gates" rally on Wednesday, March 19th, 2003 at Church on the Rock at 7 PM. I will be ministering on the importance, vision, and mission concerning this Word in Warfare outreach. We will go to the actual gates the following Thursday morning. We will start at 9 am and read through the entire Bible. I've selected 10 different gates, Baylor, Waco High School, Alico building, MCC, homosexual church, Lakeshore Baptist Church (a pro-abort church), a Mosque, Planned Parenthood abortion mill, city hall, a porno shop, and police station. We will need 10 teams to cover the ten gates of our city, consisting of one team leader and four team members. Thus far, I have 8 team leaders. I still need 2 more. The four team members will need to be able to read articulately, pray, hold signs, pass out tracts, and some need to be prepared to minister the Gospel of the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you are interested in participating, please contact me immediately so I can organize the teams. Could you also promote this rally and outreach in your sphere of influence? We need 50 committed Christians who understand the power of God's word and the truth that He watches over His word to perform it. It will not return void, but accomplish that which He sent it to accomplish. I'm working on supplying all the signs and literature we are going to need to be successful in this ministry opportunity. One of the materials we are seeking to pass out, especially at the High School, is Bibles. The Lord has gone before us and has worked out a tremendous deal to purchase 500 Bibles for $500, plus shipping. If any of you could help underwrite this expense, I promise you these Bibles will be passed out and given to needy students who are starved for the truth. Komen "Race for the Cure" are beginning to appear around Central Texas. The stated purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money to fight breast cancer. As reported in Temple Daily Telegram, last year the Komen Foundation donated $25,000 to Planned Parenthood of Central Texas. This is very disturbing in light of the fact that abortion is a significant risk factor for breast cancer and other cancers in women. Planned Parenthood of Central Texas has executed over 1,000 abortions each year in Waco for several years. That has put all these women in jeopardy and susceptible to breast cancer. If we are serious about the spreading of this horrific disease amongst women, perhaps we shouldn't support an organization that practically guarantees an increase amongst the women we are seeking to protect. We have contacted both the national and local branches of the Komen’s "Race for the Cure" to expose this hypocrisy. We sent them articles, studies, and websites that verify the link between abortion and breast cancer. One of the folks in the local organization that I sent this information to boasted of their support of Planned Parenthood and stated that I should be ashamed for contacting their group with this vital information that can prevent breast cancer. This person, like many others of their ilk, unfortunately, are blinded by their support of Planned Parenthood. Therefore they simply choose to turn a blind eye to this vital information. This documented data could spare many women the dangerous threat their organization is seeking to cure. I can't understand the hostility, willful ignorance, and denial, especially when it can help further the stated goals of the "Race for the Cure." Besides, prevention is always better than a cure. Wouldn't anyone with common sense agree? I had about an hour long conversation with one of the head chairpersons of the local race. It was quite productive as this person admitted that he was between the proverbial "rock and a hard place" when it came to this dilemma. We ended the conversation with his commitment to add to their information packets the link between abortion and breast cancer. This info packet will go out to about 70,000 people. We shall see if he follows through. On our part, I promised him we would not interrupt their honoring of the women who have survived the horrors of breast cancer, but that we would line the sidewalks with about 50 signs that read "ABORTION=BREAST CANCER!" We will also have brochures available that document the evidence to those who are interested. If you are in the Central Texas area, we sure could use some laborers to hold signs and pass out brochures. You can be apart of a proclamation outreach that could possibly save the lives of women and children. I told the chairperson that we stood with them principally upon the stated goal of "Racing for the Cure." As Christians, our hearts are concerned about relieving the suffering of mankind due to sin and its deadly consequences. We will not be there to protest. We will be there to inform the public with crucial life-saving information that has been purposely withheld from them. RACHEL’S PARK MEMORIAL "And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel: That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones? Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever." By the time you receive this month’s newsletter, the last feature of Rachel’s Park Memorial will be installed. The Wall of Remembrance is close to completion. The Lord opened an effectual door to make known this kingdom opportunity to support this particular project. KBDE, 89.9 FM, graciously gave us two hours to promote the "Sponsor the Wall" campaign. The Lord moved upon the hearers of our local Christian, American Family Radio Station and they became doers of God’s word. Kingdom supply came in and we are moving forward to get Rachel’s Park Memorial up and running and fully functional. We will soon announce the wall is completed and memorial services will be made available for post-abortive families. KBDE has committed to spread the word to hurting families in our area. They are invited to inscribe their child’s name upon the wall that will prayerfully allow them to mourn the loss of their children that our nation denies ever existed. We will keep you posted on our progress as this Gospel mission develops. Though much has been completed, there is still more work to be done. We have to complete the Prayer Gazebo that is half constructed. We have to pour a lot more concrete to finish the pathways and lay the foundations for the huge cross and the Wall of Remembrance. Besides that we need to build sign posts, benches, print brochures, and finish the landscape of the Park. Please keep these aspects of our ministry in much prayer. It is bearing good fruit. People are calling our Church inquiring about Rachel’s Park Memorial. Our Church secretary tells of meeting folks and when they find out she goes to Church on the Rock, they ask her about the Park. Her husband,Willy, works for the city and some of his co-workers are asking questions about it as well. Willy is taking them our brochures and tracts. This has opened up many opportunities to share God’s word and the blessed hope of the Gospel, while exposing our national sin and the depravity of man as we butcher our own children. KINGDOM LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE "O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come." (Psalm 71:17,18). Attention all churches, youth groups, and pro-life ministries, the Kingdom Leadership Institute is raring to go in 2003. Thus far we have one scheduled in the beginning of June in our local area and one scheduled in Palm Bay, Florida in September. Now is the time to contact me and set up a KLI training camp for the young folks in your area. The following is the vision and mission statement, if interested. The crisis of our times is leadership, or a lack thereof. Biblically, God judges and restores nations based on the leaders He raises up or removes. In light of these truths, the demand for true, godly, righteous leaders is not optional. The vision of KLI is to identify, equip, and send forth the next generation of leaders. Leaders who will become the repairers of the breach the restorers of right paths to dwell in (Isaiah 58:12 & 61:4). In the time of moral, ethical, and spiritual crises, new leaders will emerge. The question is, will it be the ilk we have today that has brought America to this pathetic state or will it be leadership marked by courage, vision, and a Biblical worldview to see our land restored? We also live in an age that demands answers to perplexing questions that are threatening our children's lives, their faith, and their very future. Are we tired of surrendering them to the "Spirit of the Age" on the installment plan? Are we concerned for this generation that is set adrift with no purpose, vision, or sense of destiny to inspire them to hit the mark for their lives? Do we yearn for God to replace the apathy, lethargy, and indifference of this generation with courage, vision, and a clarion call to vital service to King Jesus?
