TURN AWAYS

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me....Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me."  (Matthew 25:40,45 )

Weekly, a small band of Christians go to the "gates of hell" located in Waco at 1927 Columbus Ave, Planned Parenthood.  Saints come together to pray, preach, and praise the Lord while the battle rages for the souls of men, the life of preborn children, and the future of our nation.  Recently, at least three couples turned away from our local death camp and perhaps chose life for their children.  We are grateful to the Lord for taking our feeble attempts of serving Him at the altars of Molech and using our Gospel witness to reach people to reconsider and spare them the horrors of abortion.

While we were witnessing at this Den of Iniquity that masquerades as an "health facility," an Hispanic young man drove by and inquired on how he, his family, and Church could become involved in the life-saving and life-affirming ministry that he was witnessing on the streets.  What makes this so significant was the fact a Spanish couple pulled in a couple of minutes prior and we had no one to speak to them in Spanish, though they stopped to take our literature.  We prayed and discussed this lack and lo and behold, this young man, who can speak fluent Spanish, came by to encourage us in the battle.  God is so awesome!  Please pray for the couples that left and for this young man whom God sent in answer to our prayers.  The following is the vision and mission of OPERATION FULL COURT PRESS.  If you are a local pastor in Waco or concerned Christian, please consider making this Christian Pro-life ministry a part of your Church's outreach program.  Together, with God's help, we can see Waco delivered from the sin of bloodguiltiness perpetrated by Planned Parenthood that defiles our city.

OPERATION FULL COURT PRESS

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of are warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”  (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

With over 300 churches in the Waco area and only one abortion mill, making Waco, TX, an abortion-free city is within our reach. Please pray and consider using your ministry to obey Christ and stand in faith for "the least of these." Every Wed. from 8-10 a.m. Operation Full Court Press will be at our local Planned Parenthood on 1927 Columbus Ave. to minister the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Do you love to worship? Come, sing aloud at the Gates of Hell.

Do you love to Pray? Come and stand in the gap for those who have no voice.

Can you speak the truth in love to those who have believed a lie?

Come, be a sidewalk counselor and literally be used of God to save lives and the souls of men.

Your service can truly make a difference in Waco.

POWERFUL TESTIMONY

While we were at the abortion mill the other day, Pastor Ronnie Holmes from Church of the Open Door shared a powerful testimony.  Apparently, a couple of years ago, a young lady found herself in a place where she ought not to be.  She had run from God, became pregnant, and ended up in the parking lot of Planned Parenthood in Waco contemplating the murder of her child.  Fortunately, she saw with her own eyes the poster of Baby Malachi.  This is graphic picture of baby boy slaughtered by abortion.  The haunting image convicted her to the point she could not allow this to happen to her baby.  The "boyfriend" became enraged and abandoned her in the parking lot.  Finally, she mustered the moral courage to do what was right and she left that place of death.

None of us were aware this had taken place.  Many times you are out at these death camps just wondering if your presence makes a difference and then BINGO, God shows you some fruit.  Pastor Ronnie went on to inform us that this woman had been coming to his Church for the last few months and did not know her story.  On Sunday, however, that all changed.  He introduced himself and welcomed this lady to the Church.  While he did, the woman's one year old child reached out to Pastor Ronnie for a hug.  Little did Pastor Ronnie know at the time that this was the child that was saved on that glorious day.  He actually found out the next day the whole powerful truth of what transpired.

Pastor Ronnie with many tears shared this glorious testimony today and many hearts were encouraged to continue to stand in the gap and make up the hedge for the little ones, their fathers and mothers, and for those who are deceived in taking the lives of babies made in God's image.  To God Be The Glory!

RACHEL'S PARK MEMORIAL OPPORTUNITY

"They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace."  (Jeremiah 6:14)

The Lord blessed our efforts of completing Rachel's Park Memorial and unveiling it to the greater Waco community on Sunday, January 22nd, in the year of our Lord 2006.  The following is a special thanks to all who helped make this dream become a reality in Waco, TX.

SPECIAL THANKS

To our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, "who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (Revelation 1:5,6)

To Flip Benham, for being a friend that sticks closer than a brother, a faithful leader, and covering.

To Pastor John Wachsmann and Church on the Rock, for believing in this vision and providing the land for its construction.

To Robbie Wachsmann, for being a wonderful assistant and son in the faith.

To Bill Thrasher, for helping to promote this vision and mission on the radio. You have been a true friend in the ministry.

To Pastor Ronnie Holmes, Pastor John Collier, Don Gaylor, Chuck Smith, Robert Tibbs, Leon Leftwich, Eric Hayes, John Pisciotta, Barbara Meyers, Floyd Martin, Trinda Martin, their youth group, Carolyn Knowles, Claude Van Ness, and many others in the local Christian Pro-life community who gave their friendship, finances, talent, and labor to help make this dream a reality. I want to thank you all.

SPECIAL DEDICATION

Rachel's Park Memorial is not only dedicated to the Lord, His ministry, the babies, and post-abortive families, but in memory of my dear departed wife, Liz Thomas. It was her willingness to mortgage our home twice that ultimately made it possible to build this park. "Many daughters have done virtuously, but you excel them all (Proverbs 31:29)." Good night sweet wife, I’ll see you in the morning!

We have already heard from women who want to avail themselves to the ministry of Rachel's Park Memorial.  Many were touched and moved by the testimony of Nicole Holloway and her willingness to name her child and place her child's name on the Wall of Remembrance.  The following is a couple of e-mails that prayerfully will encourage others to come forward and find the forgiveness, help, and deliverance that only Jesus Christ can provide as post-abortive families confess this awful sin and crime called abortion.

Dear Rusty:

I just wanted to say that the park and the dedication service was beautiful.  One of the women we brought with us plans to drop by Thursday evening to spend some time with the Lord there.  She was deeply touched by the park.  Did you all record the memorial service?  If so, let me know how I can get a copy of that.

Blessings,
Carole LaFreniere

Hi Rusty,

I wanted to get with you & get the details of placing the name of our child on the Wall of Remembrance.  We would like to do that ASAP.

Also, I know that I need to write a testimony & that is actually something God placed on my heart quite a while ago & I was suppose to ask for Liz’s help; however, I kept putting it off.  Unfortunately, that was a hard lesson to learn; but I know it is still something that I need to do, it’s just that it is like the last step for me & as I’m sure you understand, it is hard to put it all in writing.  I hope that one day I will be able to contribute with you by sharing that testimony.  Also, I am praying about myself & the kids becoming involved in the Wed. morning events on Columbus.  How do we go about doing that & I’m worried that I won’t know what to do or say, again something, I’ve put off L  Please cover this in prayer & offer any comments/advice that you have for me regarding this.

Thank you for your love, care, obedience & willingness to serve this very necessary cause.  Your’s & Liz’s dedication & heart is what allowed me to finally begin to come to terms with what I had buried for years.  After 10 years of bondage, God finally brought me to the place where I could just say that I had an abortion & after the loss of our child 3 years ago, I was able to grieve for both babies & Rachel’s Park offered me a place to do that & to know that I wasn’t the only one that knew or cared.

Please pray for these precious ladies, the Park, and the spreading of the vision and mission.  Today, as well, we received a phone call from North Carolina from a good friend, Scott Heldreth.  He met a couple in Atlanta who are post-abortive and our surrendering their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  Scott faithfully ministered to them and is directing them to our website and OSA's website to find out more about Rachel's Park Memorial.  They are even considering traveling to Waco to make things right between them, God, and the babies they aborted.  We thank the Lord for using this Park for His glory, to advance the Gospel of the Kingdom, to restore the personhood of the preborn, and to provide post-abortive ministry to those who suffer under the weight of guilt, shame, and the regret associated with this grisly practice.

STATE LEGISLATORS

"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."  (Proverbs 29:2)

Most people don't realize that the overthrow of Roe vs. Wade will not save one life or end abortion in America.  It will simply kick back the abortion battle to the states.  It is there we must now begin to think ahead and prepare for our states to uphold the laws that protected preborn life in the womb before Roe vs. Wade decriminalized abortion.  On Tuesday, January 31st, I'm meeting with one of our State Representatives to plant a seed of vision that will prayerfully inspire him and eventually other legislators in Texas to reestablish the laws that banned abortion in our state.

If you are in Texas or in another state, you may want to emulate this example, set up meetings with your legislators, and work to see your state ban abortion after Roe vs. Wade goes the way of every other tyrannical, bloody decree that has blighted mankind.

JACKSON MS.
OSA'S NATIONAL EVENT

"And Jesus answered and said...upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  (Matthew 16:18)

Well, we make our plans, but God directs our steps.  Initially, OSA was planning on visiting Pittsburg, PA. for our national event this year, but it didn't pan out.  Our attention then turned to Jackson, MS.  There are four states in America that have only one remaining abortion mill operating and MS. is one of those states.  Strategically, this is a tremendous opportunity for the Church of Jesus Christ to come together to seek the Lord for the first state in America to be set free from the sin and crime of abortion.  This godly goal is a dream worth dreaming and a vision and mission worth pursuing.

The Lord is already opening up effectual doors and divine appointments to prepare His way into Jackson.  Please begin now to pray for this event.  Pray that God will use us to help an abortion mill that it tottering, be vanquished from the great state of MS.  We also encourage you to plan now to be a part of what we are praying will be an historical event.  The event will be in the third week of July.  Hope to see you all there in Jesus' mighty name!

COME ALIVE

"For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry."  (Luke 15:24)

After a long sabbatical, it is time for Church on the Rock to get back into the ministry of drama.  This Resurrection Day in April, we will performing a play that I wrote called "Come Alive."  The following is a brief synopsis of this anointed production.  If you are local in the Central Texas area and want to be involved, there still may be some small roles, crowd scenes and such like that are still available.

Synopsis

Come Alive is a nine scene play that centers around the life of a family who is struggling to survive, because while the mother and the two teenage children are born-again Christians, committed to their local church, the husband is an unfaithful alcoholic who has been rejecting their faith for many years. Their conflict comes to a head when the father comes into the church to pick them up from play practice and becomes openly abusive towards his wife and then towards his son who tries to stand up for her.

The husband, seeing what he’s become, asks for a divorce, so now the wife, who has been the quiet submissive Christian all these years, takes advantage of the opportunity to begin pouring out her heart in witnessing the gospel of Christ to him.

For once, he seems to be listening and as he asks questions, his answers come via flashbacks to show us scenes from the life of Christ. The more Ron’s eyes are opened to the gospel, the more the lines of time and space are blurred, until finally he comes face to face with the resurrected Lord Himself.

This play contains roles that have singing solos, mime dance routines and many intensive acting parts. Even the mob/choir roles require energetic acting, such as the crucifixion and healing scenes, and singing in the choir.

There are also a few twists and turns in the plot, which have been known to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
