Volume 21 Issue 5 - May 2006 COME ALIVE REPORT "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (John 5:24) The Lord truly blessed the "Come Alive" production. As far as we know, there were at least three professions of faith of souls surrendering their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The power and presence of God was tangible at each performance. There were a few glitches here and there, but for the most part, the play went forth under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Some thought it was a professional cast, rather than members of our Church. Many wept as the passion of our Lord and His intervention into a hurting home was seen and heard in each intense scene of the play. One precious lady wrote, "It was great to see you last night and all your sweeties!! We enjoyed the play. Freddie commented there must be dust in your vents due to the tears he had! Your portrayal of the son and father was almost verbatim what he spoke to his father. Later his father finally did give his heart, but only once he was faced with death. As they pushed "Christ" down the isle I had an overwhelming urge to get up and help him. Thankfully Freddie blocked my path or I just might have. Some how I don't believe y'all would have appreciated my help. I had to remind myself this was a play. I was totally caught up in the moment. Overwhelmed with emotion to say the least. Your play has inspired me to write a one person play using Todd Agnew's "My Jesus" as the structure for the play."
ONLY DAD "And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." (Luke 1:17) Just when I’m struggling as a father, my children come along and bless me with a special note of encouragement. I’m not sure of the author, but I pray it blesses every man who attempts to be a father who is loved most by those who know him best. (The Thomas Nation brood of twelve) one of ten million men or more. Plodding along in the daily strife, bearing the whips and scorns of life. With never a whimper of pain or hate for the sake of those who at home awaits. Only a dad, neither rich or proud, merely one of the surging crowd. Toiling, striving from day to day, facing whatever may come his way. Silent when the harsh condemn and bearing it all for the love of them. Only a dad, but he gave his all to smooth the way for his children small. Doing with courage stern and grim the deeds that his father did for him. This is the line that for him I pen-Only a dad, but the best of men.
PRISON MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY "Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me:, I was in prison and ye came unto me." It appears the Lord is opening to us an effectual door of ministry to our local youth prison camp. There are seven hundred incarcerated young men who range in age from 10 years old to 21. A precious man that goes to our Church, John Haigh, has worked tirelessly to open the door to Elijah Ministries. On my return back home from Danbury CT, he called to say that the prison agreed to first allow our production of "Come Alive" into the prison and then they would like me to become a minister that will help to mentor and disciple these young men that are fatherless and out of control on a regular basis. Please keep this in much prayer. My heart breaks for these young men that have borne the weight of our folly and idolatry as our families, culture, schools, government, and in some cases the Church have failed in our responsibilities before God. I'm praying the Lord would anoint me to reach these young man with the transforming message of the Gospel of the Kingdom. That He would be pleased to translate them out of the Kingdom of Darkness with its bars, chains, and bring them into the precious liberty of God's Kingdom. May those who sit in darkness see the great light of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please pray for this effectual door to stay open. I'm not sure yet about our play going into the prison due to conflicting schedules within the cast, but I believe the prison is still open to have me come on a weekly basis to minister to three prisoners at a time, till I meet with all seven hundred. They are fatherless young men, murderers, rapists, and molesters who desperately need Jesus, so please pass the word and pray that I can represent the father they never had on earth and most importantly introduce them to their Heavenly Father above.
DANBURY MESSAGE In Danbury, the Lord privileged me to lead the ceremony at the famous Danbury Baptist Church that was established in the 1780s. The foundation stones and cornerstone that remained were a sign that this Church was still a city set on a hill for those who had eyes to see. The graveyard had markers that were over 250 years old. Can these dry bones still live? Can the godly vision and mission of our forefathers and foremothers survive and perhaps thrive again? Prophecy son of man! It was this Church that the letter from President Thomas Jefferson that mentioned the Separation of Church and State was sent. As we commenced the ceremony we had two brothers sound the alarm on the shofars. Before they did, I quoted from Numbers 10:9 which states, "And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies." From there, the prophetic message went forth. The following is the basis of what was shared on this historical day. "We have come to these hollowed grounds to commence the reclaiming of our beloved nation. We have gathered together at this sacred site to reclaim the prophetic voice of the Church of the living God. We are meeting at this historical landmark to reclaim our godly heritage and righteous legacy that the enemy of our souls has stolen while the Church slumbered. This is a strategic time at a strategic place. It is the right time, at the right place, and by God's grace you are the right people. This I pray is a date with destiny and may it prove that we have come into the Kingdom for such a time as this. Coach asked me If I’d take a few minutes to discuss with you the importance of prophetically dealing with one of the central issues of our lifetime, the Separation of Church and State. If you have your Bibles please turn to Hosea 4:1-3. It states, "Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. Therefore shall the land mourn..." Notice that God's contention with Israel was not that there was no knowledge of God in the Church, but that there was an absence of the knowledge of God in the public life of their nation. As a result, there was a deluge of immorality, lawlessness, perversion, and bloodshed that flooded the land. Thus the land was left in a state of mourning. How many besides me see this same wretched condition in America today? How many of your souls are vexed as America parades their sin like Sodom and we seem hell-bent on sliding down the slippery slope into perdition? In 1947, the United States Supreme Court decided a case called Everson v. Board of Education. It was this Decision that opened the flood gates of hell upon us by commencing the removal of truth, mercy, and the knowledge of God from our beloved nation. They took a phrase, Separation of Church and State, from a letter President Thomas Jefferson wrote to calm the fears of the Danbury Baptist Association who were struggling with rumors that Congress was working on forming a national Church. This phrase is not in any of our Founding Documents. The words Separation of Church and State do not appear in our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, nor Bill of Rights. In 1947, the Hugo Black Court divorced the phrase from Jefferson's own explanation and used it to create a new, and completely arbitrary, interpretation of the First Amendment. On the heels of this monstrosity, one disastrous Supreme Court Decision after another followed in its wake. To the point where evil is now good and good is now made evil. The Bible has been removed as the cornerstone of America’s education, the prayers of our children have been silenced, the Ten Commandments have been stripped from our walls, and our schools, culture, and government have replaced the knowledge of God with condoms, police officers, metal detectors, and unprecedented violence and perversion. In light of this predicament, Psalms 11:3 asks a critical question and that is, "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" For one thing, we can go back to God’s blueprint found in His word and rebuild the foundations being destroyed under our watch. This is what Nehemiah did when he found Jerusalem with its walls knocked down, gates burned, and God’s people vexed by this deplorable condition. He assigned workers that handled both trowel and weapon to go to the exposed areas and rebuild the walls and gates that had been decimated, which made them a prey to their enemies. In order for the modern day Church to accomplish this great task in our life time, there must be a fundamental shift in the emphasis of the Church. We must move from being mercy ministries orientated to prophetic ministries orientated. We must move from the Motherhood nurturing aspects of God to the Fatherhood justice aspects of God. Jeremiah 23:22 defines the prophetic ministry as such, "But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings." I’d like to close with a modern day parable that distinguishes between mercy ministries and prophetic ministries. One provides a cure after mayhem and disaster strike, while the other prevents it from happening in the first place. Picture if you will the world as a hill. The masses of the world gather at the top and by their foolish, sinful behavior cast themselves headlong from the cliff. At the bottom, some of the Church awaits with a Church ambulance and whisks them away to our church buildings and then tries to piece their broken lives back together again. This is mercy ministries. It graciously offers a cure to the broken sinner. Prophetic ministries, however, takes the extra effort to climb up the hill and places itself between the foolish, sinful behavior and pleads with the world "DON'T JUMP." One ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. In other words, it is better to be healthy and sound, then to need an operation to save your life. Pastors, I want to commend you all on being faithful under shepherd’s of God’s flock, but the great need of the hour is for you to become Elders in the Gates of our cities and nation once again. We must together work to present God’s Church as His instrument of justice and mercy to vanquish evil and set the captive free. We must labor to become once again the conscience of our nation that has been seared by public policies and inward perversions. We must rise up to provide the moral guidance our nation needs in this desperate hour. The Pastors of the Black Regiment that King George feared during the Revolutionary War are dead. The Pastors that implored President Lincoln to free the slaves with a 200 hundred foot long letter filled with their signatures are dead. It is our turn now! Duty is ours, the results are in the hands of God! May God bless you as you strive to fulfill this high calling in Jesus’ Holy and Mighty Name!
RACHEL'S PARK MEMORIAL "I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Habakkuk 2:1-3) While in CT., the Lord granted me a divine appointment. I met a man who is a pastor from Maine. His name is Mark Smith. We talked for a bit and he mentioned the Church where he pastored had property and that he was looking to use it to glorify God. I mentioned RPM and immediately our spirits bore witness to the opportunity. Prayerfully, as a result, Maine will become the second state to establish another Gospel/Pro-life park for the glory of God and the benefit of all those ill-affected by the sin and crime of abortion. Please keep this in much prayer and pray the vision and mission continues to spread. Perhaps you might seek the Lord to see a park established in your state. We would do all that we could to assist you in making Rachel’s Park Memorial a reality in your area. Feel free to contact me to discuss the possibilities.
