Clearly, God expects His covenant people to arm themselves with the spiritual armor He has provided.  The Apostle Paul exhorted every saint to take a stand with our loins girded about with truth, our chest covered with the breastplate of righteousness, and our feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.  He furthered challenged the Church to take up the shield of faith, place the helmet of salvation upon our heads, and wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, to wage a good warfare to push back the enemies of the Lord and to set the captive free (Ephesians 6:11-20).

Since 1973, when abortion was first decriminalized, only a small remnant of the Church have clothed themselves in God’s armor and have taken the faith to the gates of hell.  Many in this battle have lost their freedom, jobs, income, and church support.  Some even spilled their blood for the cause of Christ and for the love He has for His innocent children being ripped apart in their mother’s wombs.  After three decades of blood, sweat, and tears, there appears a light at the end of this demonically inspired darkness.  All over the nation, the small remnant of God’s warriors are beginning to experience victory after victory as they press the battle to end the holocaust that has defiled America with the sin of shedding innocent blood.

For those who have viewed this atrocity as a Gospel/Kingdom issue rather than a political/social issue, the mandate was clear-the Church must understand that this is our fight with the one (Satan) who comes to kill, steal, and to destroy.  After all, this bloody mess flourished under our watch.  Convicted by the Lord, the call to the Church is "arise and clean this mess up for God’s glory and the benefit of His little ones being sacrificed on the altars of Moloch and Baal."

The strategy was simply to call the Church to repent.  The Church is duty bound to reflect the mind of Christ and the heart of God towards His helpless children.  As the Church brings forth fruits meet for repentance, by speaking and acting on the behalf of the preborn, we believed that God Himself would arise to vanquish this foe.  We trusted that He would cast abortion on the dung heap of every other discarded murderous regime that has plagued the sons of men in times past.

Knowing Biblically that God works from the inside out and from the bottom up, there was no political solution to end abortion until the Church won the battle first in the heavenlies.  Charged with this knowledge, the remnant pressed forward winning one heart at a time, one baby at a time, one family at a time, one church at a time, one city at a time, one state at a time, and prayerfully one nation at a time. We did not look to the pragmatic politician nor the civil authorities that have betrayed their sacred trust to protect life and stop the shedding of innocent blood.  No, we looked to the Lord and the weapons of our warfare that are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of this demonic stronghold in Jesus’ name!  Eventually, we believed the laws and government would change as the Church won the battle in our culture.  There is now evidence the change has begun in earnest.

In recent days, there have been a rash of abortion mills shutting down all over the nation.  Government officials are beginning to change from protecting the abortion industry and their bloody interests, to protecting women and their children from the unethical, unregulated, unsanitary, and immoral practices perpetrated by these merchants of death.  Here is just a sampling of reports that are flooding in.

First, there are several states working on banning abortion out right or passing trigger laws to ban it once Roe vs. Wade is overturned.  In my home state, Texas, we have been meeting with legislators to enact a similar bill that was recently passed in South Dakota.  Here is a report from a good friend of ours, Molly White, Director of Redeemed Life, concerning her recent meeting with Governor Rick Perry. "I also had the opportunity to talk with Rep. Phil King (R) about moving the State of Texas to banning abortion.  On June 3, Ronald and I had the honor of having breakfast with the Governor (along with many other conservative and pro-life groups).  During this time, Alan Parker, Clayton Trotter and I approached Governor Perry if he would support such a ban.  His comments were ‘get it on my desk and I will sign it.’  He then went on to tell us how to go about getting a bill written.  From that, I have been involved with The Justice Foundation and other pro-life groups here in the state to start praying and planning to address this issue during the next legislative session. Please be in prayer about this and be ready to do what you can to support this effort."

As I write, the saints in Jackson, MS. are continuing the siege against the last remaining abortion mill in the entire state.  They are close to becoming the first abortion-free state in the Union.  News reports from Florida have revealed horrible crimes that go on behind the close doors of abortion mills.  As a result, Florida authorities have suspended the operating licenses of two abortion facilities and temporarily shut down three others following the alleged performances of illegal late-term abortions.  These actions came on the heels of a report of a baby surviving an abortion and yet was killed at another Florida abortion facility.

This report comes from Florida by Flip Benham, National Director of Operation Save America. "The abortion industry has long claimed they want to make abortion legal and safe. The Florida State Board of Health disagrees and has blown their cover.

Wednesday evening, 8/16/26, the Florida Board of Health suspended the license of James Scott Pendergraft, the largest abortion provider in the state, for performing an illegal abortion in July of 2005. The Board of health stated, ‘Dr. Pendergraft demonstrated a flagrant disregard for the laws of the state of Florida and a willingness to endanger the lives and health of pregnant patients by performing third-trimester abortions.’ The State also closed two abortion clinics in Orlando Florida operated by Pendergraft in Orlando Florida where faithful Christians, and sidewalk counselors have "shown up" to offer help to women."

This just in from Montgomery, AL.  The title of the article reads: Another Abortion Clinic Shut Down in Alabama!  "

The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) has suspended the operating license of Reproductive Health Services of Montgomery -- the second abortion clinic shutdown in recent weeks.

According to the department, the clinic was shut down because it failed to have ‘a physician with admitting privileges at a local acute care hospital or a contractual arrangement with a physician at a local acute care hospital or contractual arrangement with a physician who has such admitting privileges.’

John Giles, president of the Christian Coalition of Alabama, said today's action confirms that the abortion industry is only interested in profits, not the health of women before and after an abortion.  ‘In fact,’ he said, ‘women leave abortion facilities all over this state and report the buildings look as if they are furnished from a secondhand store and resemble a Third-World medical facility.’

Giles and other pro-life leaders recently met with ADPH officials to discuss abortion clinic regulations, inspections and enforcement.

‘In our meeting we all conceded that the Summit Clinic closing in Birmingham was a wakeup call about the danger to public health and welfare,’ Giles said. ‘I am confident that the ADPH has made the upgrading of regulations, inspections and enforcement standards a priority.’

‘I have taken them at their word to work within their statutory authority to protect these vulnerable women who think abortion is their only option.'"

What is interesting about these closing of death camps is the fact government officials are no longer applying a double standard to the abortion industry.  Since the advent of abortion on demand, our entire nation treated the abortion industry as the new "Untouchables."  One never observed the media going undercover to reveal the gruesome and grisly trade of the abortion industry.  Why didn’t we see on the nightly news investigative reports how the abortion industry murders babies in the womb and what they do to dispose of their remains?  The media has no qualms investigating Crisis Pregnancy Centers.  Why then do we not see hidden microphones and cameras exposing the horrors of abortion?  The answer is simple.  As long as it remains a hidden holocaust, America will continue to live in a state of denial and the bloodshed will continue to flow unabated.

When was the last time you heard of the IRS auditing an abortion mill?  Here the government knows there are many shady cash deals and shoddy record keeping and yet no investigations.  Why did it take so long for our health agencies to investigate the sub-standard "health care" and the horrid conditions surrounding the abortion industry?  Most veterinarian clinics that treat animals have higher standards than the abortion industry that "treats" people, and yet no investigations until recently.

Prayerfully, through praising the Lord and passing the spiritual ammo, the abortion industry’s days of remaining the "Untouchables" are coming to an end.  The double standards our nation has applied will no longer provide cover and insulation to these merchants of death.  Their hidden works of darkness are being exposed by a small remnant of the Church of Jesus Christ and now our government is beginning to take action.  This is certainly a step in the right direction and may it continue till child-killing is driven back to hell from whence it came!

Our last praise report is a bill that is working its way through Congress.  Its purpose is to ban all abortions in America.  It is called the Right to Life Act HR 552.  It reads, "To implement equal protection under the 14th article of amendment to the Constitution for the right to life of each born and preborn human person."  Keep your eyes open and your prayers coming as this bill moves forward through the arduous political process.

Church, there used to be over 2000 abortion mills operating in the United States of America.  Today, the number is about 739.  Each day that number dwindles.  Fewer and fewer doctors are willing to be involved in the abortion controversy.  The average age of the abortionist is 59.  They are dying off and very few are jumping in to take their place.  If we don’t initially win this battle legislatively, we can win by attrition and the government will simply have to acknowledge it by law.

Obviously, there is much to praise the Lord for in all these reports and recent developments, but we still need to pass the spiritual ammo till the the fullness of victory emerges.  The abortion industry is going the way of every other tyrannical despotism in man’s bloody history.  They are collapsing under the weight of their own sin and perverse abominations.  Perhaps our government officials are finally awakening to this self-evident truth.  Like slavery before, America’s conscience is being pricked as the horrible truth is revealed.  And if America can no longer stand to see abortion for what it is, then it is time we tolerate it no more.  Let us pray, speak up, and continue to storm the gates of hell.  They cannot prevail against the Church of Jesus Christ!  PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE SPIRITUAL AMMO!!!
