Call to Fast and Pray

September 6-8th, 2010

 

“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish (Esther 4:16).”

Though not stated in this text, it is most certainly implied that this call to fast by Esther was accompanied with fervent prayer. God’s people were in grave danger. A decree was granted that called for their extermination on a certain date. Fear had filled their hearts as their future prospects were haunted by impending doom. This was the bleak backdrop that inspired courageous Esther to call for a fast, while she took her life in her hands to approach the king without an official summons.

In like manner, we in America are facing seemingly insurmountable perils to our persons, property, freedom, and way of life. If you have followed any of our email alerts for any amount of time, you are well aware of the roots of our sin that are producing the dangerous fruit of the rise of Islam in America. Islam may have not chosen a date for America’s demise, but you would have to be deaf, dumb, and blind as our government and media seems to be, in order to ignore this real and present risk.

As stated previous in our last email alert, Operation Save America is calling whosoever will to come join us in New York City at Ground Zero on Saturday, September 11th. We believe it is the right time at the right place. We also believe God has granted us the right message and we are determined to go in a right spirit. To help prepare our way, OSA is calling for a special time of prayer and fasting. We are sensing God is going to powerfully move at this gathering in the Big Apple.

To those who come and to those who remain behind, please join us in this three day and three night consecrated time to seek God for our service to Him in New York City. The fast starts on Monday, September 6th and ends on Wednesday, September 8th. Our last meal should be Sunday evening and we should resume eating on Thursday morning. The Biblical passage called for an abstaining from water as well as food. There may be some hearty souls willing to go the extra mile, but all we are asking for is an abstaining from food.

Folks, we are going into the belly of the beast, the very epi-center of the battle that is raging in America. We need to be clothed in the armor of God and supported by the prayers of the saints. Thanks for your willing participation in this matter.
