January marks the 37th year since Roe vs. Wade unleashed the forces of hell against our beleaguered nation. Millions of children made in the image of God have been sacrificed to the idols of Moloch and Baal, which has polluted and defiled our beloved land. With the advent of the Obama administration, the American holocaust has found its greatest defender to date. Thus, there is no political solution to end the sin and crime of shedding of innocent blood that has invoked the wrath of God upon America. In fact, Obama, himself, is the manifestation of God's judgment upon our people that have gone a-whoring after other gods and the vain philosophies of men, which decriminalized this unlawful act (Psalm 106:24-48).

Now more than ever, the church of the living God must arise and put the axe of God's truth to the root of this idolatrous tree. We must curse this tree as Jesus cursed the fig tree in His day (Matthew 21:18-22). If America is to survive, "Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away." Like slavery before, abortion must not only become illegal again, but unthinkable in the land of the free and the home of the brave. The following is the message I plan on ministering on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, January 22, in the year of our Lord, 2010. If you find any merit, please pass it on.

"And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word (1 Kings 17:1)."

In context of this passage of Scripture, Elijah was putting the axe of God's truth to the tree of Israel's harlotry, which gave homage to the pagan idols of the nations surrounding them. Amongst them was Baal, the god of greenery. This false idol promised an increase of crops, herds, and fruits if Israel would just worship Baal and the pantheon of gods that invaded their land. Baal, along with Molech, convinced Israel to sacrifice their children in order to prosper. These demonic powers seduced Israel into believing that all would be well with them if they just obeyed these pagan practices forbidden by Yahweh. In the midst of this spiritual harlotry, Elijah burst on the scene and prophesied a drought that would expose the empty promises made by these idols fit for destruction. Keep in mind church, this prophetic prayer by Elijah is the model prayer promoted by the New Testament. It is the example of the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man, which avails much of God's will in the earth (James 5:16).

Likewise in the new Testament, when John the Baptist was unveiled to Israel, God called upon him to take the truth of God's word like an axe and lay it to the root of Israel's doubt, unbelief, and rejection of Messiah. God's word states, "And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire (Matthew 3:10)."Jesus, Himself continued this theme. In Matthew 7:16-20 He states:

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

It is interesting to note that Jeremiah the prophet declared that God would use His people as His battle axe. Jeremiah declared, "Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms (Jeremiah 51:20)." The axe God speaks of is not carnal in nature, but a sharp two-edged sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17). It is this sword God has called His people to wield into the battle for the souls of men, the lives of children, and the future of this world against the forces of darkness. It is an essential part of the arsenal the Apostle Paul mentions in 2 Corinthians 10:4, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds."

It is this sword of truth that needs to be unleashed against the very gates of hell that promotes child-killing in this perverse and crooked generation. God's truth must penetrate the abortion industry, which is nothing more than modern buildings with the state of the art equipment that serves as altars of Baal and Molech. By God's grace, we are called to wield God's axe to the roots of this idolatrous tree.

When it comes to child killing, the Lord does not want us to simply prune back the evil fruit this idolatrous tree produces, but to curse it like Jesus did the fig tree, so that it never bears fruit again. In other words, God does not want us to treat symptoms and put band aids on cancer. He wants us to lay hold of His axe and wield it to the very root that nourishes these pagan and demonic practices. God's word commands us to plead the cause of the fatherless to win it (Jeremiah 5:28). After 37 years of bloodshed, can the church muster the courage and righteous resolve to obey?

There are several roots that fuel the fires of Molech that devour children made in the image of God today. The first one is obvious; the love of money is the root of all evil. Money can blind the eyes and convince men and women to sell their bodies and souls to the Devil. In this sense the abortion mills are color blind. They don't necessarily see black, white or brown, but green, green backs that is.

Abbey Johnson, a former director of Planned Parenthood at Bryan College, TX exposed this root recently. According to Fox News, "Johnson said she became disillusioned with her job after her bosses pressured her for months to increase profits by performing more and more abortions, which cost patients between $505 and $695.

Every meeting that we had was, 'We don't have enough money, we don't have enough money - we've got to keep these abortions coming,' Johnson told FoxNews.com. 'It's a very lucrative business and that's why they want to increase numbers.'"

Another root feeds the rebellion of feminism. For the feminist, abortion is a must if they are to compete academically and in the workforce. Commenting on this dilemma in our recent published book, The Kingdom Leadership Institute Manual, I wrote:

Herein lays the tragic irony that feminism has fostered. Its man-hating spirit actually fuels ignoble, failed manhood and debases that which is most precious in womanhood. For instance, feminism demanded the right to kill babies in the womb in order to compete in a man's world. They wanted all the "sexual freedom" afforded immoral men, without pregnancy and the rearing of children to interfere with college or career ambitions. The one thing the feminists did not count on is that the only ones set free by abortion are men, who use and abuse women to satisfy their lust.

Abortion, the bloody sacrament of the feminist movement, never set a woman free. Contrary to the propaganda promoted by feminists, many post-abortive women suffer grave torment. Though they can find the forgiveness of God if they repent, they never forget.

Hedonistic males sire children, but raise none. Abortion frees men to enjoy intimacy without responsibility. It allows men to become serial fornicators, moving from one conquest to another. The feminist practice of abortion granted men this carte blanche, which made it open season on our daughters. The very things the feminists purport to hate about men, they have enabled. Their hypocrisy knows no limits.

The other root is not so obvious and it does deal with color. There may be many reasons why abortion was established in other nations of the world, but here in America as one studies history, it is clear that the root of abortion is racism. I'm not talking about the politically charged racism that race baiters exploit to fill their coffers and increase their political power. No, this is racism in its most maniacal manifestation. It is a racism that has led to genocide.

Most of you are aware of the writings of the queen of death, Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. She believed in a philosophy of Eugenics that preached that the white Aryan race was the superior race. Eugenics taught that since there were limited resources in the earth, inferior races could hang around just as long as they didn't infringe upon those resources. But if they spawned to the point that the elites of this world felt threatened, it was the obligation of the superior race to preserve these precious resources by eliminating those they considered a liability or as Sanger called them, "the choking undergrowth." The agendas that promote animal rights, over-population, and the hoax of global warming are mere offshoots of this worldview.

Sanger made other outrageous statements like "more from the fit and less from the unfit." Of course, she was the goddess who determined who was fit or not. She stated, "birth control would lead to a cleaner race." Thus to eliminate what she considered the inferior races, she first began the "American Birth Control League," which eventually became known as Planned Parenthood. It was through this infamous organization that she implemented her three-fold plan to eliminate minorities, which was, birth control, sterilization, and eventually abortion.

These are the roots that supply the demonic nourishment that feeds the idolatrous tree of child killing. It behooves us then to put God's truth, His axe to one of the main roots of abortion, which is racism. Let's put the trumpet to our mouths and sound the alarm amongst our black brothers and sisters. Since they are the ones that were initially targeted by this monster, the spell this wolf in sheep's clothing has cast over them must be broken. Under the guise of help, Planned Parenthood has killed, stole, and destroyed millions of minorities. Yes, there are whites that have abortions as well, but that is acceptable collateral damage that still feeds the other roots, the love of money and the feminist agenda.

I believe that much of America's recovery as a nation hinges upon our black brothers and sisters being set free from this liberal demonic agenda that has deceived them to willingly destroy themselves by abortion.

Lastly, several years ago, blacks and whites joined together to march and end the evil of segregation and to live up to our creed, which states, "All men are created equal." Today, people still march to commemorate the struggle for liberty. Our black brothers and sisters need to know the march is not over. There is still an injustice that has lied to them, stolen from them, and seeks to destroy them. God's truth must therefore march on till abortion and the culture of death it has produced is vanquished once and for all in Jesus' mighty name.

One of the main goals of The KLI Manual is reformation, not just spiritual revival. In Luke 5:37-9, Jesus spoke of the need of a new wineskin to contain the new wine. In context, he was revealing the awesome transition the world was undergoing as God was shifting from the Old Covenant into the New Covenant. In the same way, revival without reformation will not be able to contain or sustain God's intervention in the affairs of men.

The discipline of reading through the Bible each year is essential to reformation and restoring the biblical worldview our modern age has discarded. Although topical studies are beneficial for personal growth, a daily and systematic verse-by-verse study of the Word is highly recommended.

A systematic approach to Scripture teaches the life long exercise of daily Bible reading, presents God's truth in context, and builds a foundation for learning. Furthermore, it presents in totality the attributes and characteristics of Almighty God. Instead of over emphasizing certain verses to the exclusion of others, a "precept upon precept; line upon line" reading of the Scriptures presents God in his entirety. The church needs to understand and embrace all the characteristics of Almighty God to develop and present a whole, sound, and biblical faith.

The loss of a biblical worldview, a misunderstanding of the character of God, and a general illiteracy regarding sound doctrine has caused immeasurable damage to the church. It has produced a body of believers addicted to a "feel good" religion and the gospel of "self-improvement." We have exchanged the whole counsel of God for what makes us feel comfortable. This has created a church virtually incapable of contending for the faith in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.

A biblically illiterate body of believers will weaken the church's mission, enable a corrupt culture, strengthen oppressors, and victimize the helpless. You cannot have a corrupt, oppressive state without an apostate church that has veered from the truths of God's Word. The two walk hand-in-hand. In order to see our nation restored to the God of our fathers, the covenant, and the godly principles that made our country great, we must return to a biblical worldview and to possess a biblical worldview, you must study the Bible.

In addition, for those who seek the Lord and his wisdom daily there is a blessing. "Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death (Proverbs 8:33-36).

Edward Bulwer-Lytton stated, "The pen is mightier than the sword," especially when the pen recorded the Word of God. Traditionally, the sword was a symbol of combat, violence, or war, as Jesus' statement indicated, "Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword" (Matthew 26:52).

Nevertheless, the sword is more than an icon of warfare. Historically, it symbolized power, nobility, and status. The sword represented power, as in the Sword of State; nobility, as seen in our fairy tales of knights slaying dragons; and even prestige, for only the wealthy could afford one during the early medieval period.

In the Bible, the sword represents the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 states, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." If we attach the above symbolism, we see the Sword of the Spirit as the source of a Christian's power in battle; as a sign of his nobility (Revelation 5:10) through being born-again in the spirit; and of his privileged status in God's kingdom, since he is now a child of the King. Wielding the Word of God in our fallen world is far more than a responsibility, it is an honor.

As you prepare to battle the spirit of the age, you must learn to wield the sword with precision, strength, and control. To lead in our culture, you must become a master swordsman. This means regular training. Real swordsmen traditionally used wooden swords to hone their skill. To help you perfect your skill, there are many daily Bible reading schedules.
