THE MURDER OF GEORGE TILLER

Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn,

By now the news of America's most notorious abortionist, George Tiller's murder has spread like wild fire. It was in North Carolina when the shocking news reached us. There we were enjoying a church picnic in Rev. Flip Benham's yard when the bomb dropped. As we tried to absorb the
implications of this report, a pall came over everyone present. There were no hallelujahs, rejoicing, or celebration. There was nothing but a sobering sense of loss. After the shock, a deep dread came over my soul for this man, whom we witnessed to, wept for, prayed over, pleaded with, and called to repentance since 1991. I cringed at the mere thought of this bloody man standing before the Lord of glory to give an account for his murderous ways. Instinctively, I knew the greater judgement was not the tens of thousands of baby boys and girls he ruthlessly slaughtered in the womb. No, the greater danger to his soul was his stubborn, hard hearted, stiff necked, and seared conscience rejection of God's call to repentance and His merciful offer of pardon.

About a month ago, another man associated with abortion (He owned a string of abortion mills) lost several members of his family in a flaming plane crash in Montana. It happened to explode right near a Memorial to the Unborn. The connection was hard to avoid. At that time, this word came forth, "These are the days of retribution. The abortion industry needs to awaken and repent, lest a worse thing come upon them." It has come to pass and paranoia is most likely running rampant throughout the death merchants of America. To those who are looking over their shoulders and wondering if the avenger of blood will visit them be reminded of our Lord's words, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (Matthew 10:28)." It is high time the abortion industry fear God and depart from this grave evil. A misguided soul can only kill the body, but God can kill bodies and toss souls into hell. Fear Him, I say!

The Church may fail to rescue those unjustly sentenced to death. The state may betray their sacred trust, but God cannot deny Himself. One cannot continue to murder babies and escape justice forever. Leviticus 20:1-5 warns, "And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people."

Lawful authority refused to prosecute this mass murderer. God warns if they don't, He is still obligated to bring those who sacrifice children to Molech to justice. Be assured, however, that our government, who has betrayed their sacred trust by refusing to protect life and stop the shedding of innocent blood, will exploit Tiller's murder to further persecute those who peaceably oppose abortion's reign of terror. Be it known to them, we will not be silenced nor intimidated by the violence of one being used to prosecute the voice of the many.

George Tiller - Killed

WASHINGTON, May 31 /Christian Newswire/ -- "He died the way he lived. His was a bloody death." Rev Rusty Thomas, Operation Save America(OSA). "Someone 'chose' to end George Tiller's life this morning, in his church."

"What was an abortionist doing 'in' church, any church...being allowed, welcomed, even venerated? This man killed babies for a living. He charged large sums of money to do it. Then he went to 'church,' made large contributions, and the 'church' (Reformation Lutheran Church) accepted it??" Pastor Mark Holick, Spirit One Christian Center, & OSA.

This is an apostate church, fully complicit in Mr. Tiller's murderous rampage against preborn children. It has provided cover and respectability for him. We have confronted both pastor and church with this trashing of the Gospel of Christ. I can still recall one board member saying, "We have members who believe both ways (pro-life or pro-choice)." Please! "A man who stiffens his neck after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed -- without remedy." Proverbs 29:1.

"George Tiller has been confronted innumerable times with the claims of Christ." Rev Flip Benham, Director of Operation Save America. "We were in Wichita in 1991, pleading for him to receive Christ and stop murdering children. In April 2001, I wrote him a personal letter with the book, Won By Love hoping to speak with him. Every day outside his abortion mill, gentle Christians pleaded with mothers to choose life and with George to choose Christ. We have been to his home, his church, and his work. He is now bowing before Jesus and confessing that He (Jesus) is right and that he (George Tiller) was wrong!"

No doubt the media will paint every Christian, who loves life and lives out that belief in the streets of his city, as a wild-eyed, lunatic, fanatic bent on shooting abortionists. They will attempt to silence the voice of many by using the violence of one. This ploy is the devil's "straw man." Beware! The one who murdered George Tiller became exactly what George Tiller was -- a murderer.

We will not be silenced nor will we stop opposing the murder of "any" person - born or unborn. If I were at Reformation Lutheran Church this morning my duty would be to stand in between the shooter and George Tiller. The love of Christ compels us!

On Monday, May 18th, Christian leaders from across the nation will conduct a press conference regarding S. 909 (the Senate "Hate Crimes" bill) at 11:00 AM. The press conference will be held at our nation's Capital.

"American values are under attack by al-Qaeda and radical Islamists. Instead of combating this issue, it seems some within our government are more interested in criminalizing American citizens. The so-called 'Hate Crimes' bill is an attempt to take away the rights of Christians to speak out and express their freedom of speech. This is unjust and Americans deserve better than this from their elected officials," stated Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, Founder and President of BOND.

Repent America Director, Michael Marcavage, who knows first-hand the serious dangers associated with the so-called "hate crimes" laws, states, "Such legislation is completely unnecessary, unconstitutional and ungodly. The federal 'hate crimes' bill will do nothing more than frame mischief by a law by ushering in the persecution of Christians nationwide. The bill seeks to shut down the message of hope and freedom from homosexuality through Jesus Christ by criminalizing Christians who reach out in the love of God to those trapped in its bondage."

Rev. Rusty Lee Thomas, Director of Elijah Ministries states, “Years ago, homosexuals came out of the closet and since then have banged a steady drumbeat demanding tolerance. Their idea of tolerance, however, has viciously turned into a dangerous form of fascism, whereby, they seek to manipulate the coercive force of civil government to shove Christianity into the closet they vacated. Due to this tyrannical rebellion, America is learning the hard way that you cannot make straight what God has called crooked; tolerate what God deems intolerable or turn moral wrongs into civil rights and thrive as a people. S. 909 will fail in removing hatred from America. In fact, it will only serve to institutionalize it. Invariably, it will continue to promote governmental hatred towards God, saving faith, family, and freedom and will render the church of Jesus Christ guilty as heaven and sexual deviants, supported by government bureaucrats, innocent as hell!

Rev. Flip Benham, National Director of Operation Rescue/Operation Save America, declares, "The decriminalization of child-killing (abortion) has brought about the criminalization of those who would oppose it. The decriminalization of homosexuality has brought about the criminalization of those who would oppose it. Now we have the S. 909 bill, which expressly forbids any language that might be perceived as 'hate' by the homosexual community. This makes illegal every word in the Bible, which describes the destruction wrought by this vile behavior. If we do not act decisively at this time, S. 909 will indeed become the law of the land. It will prepare the way for the total censorship of the Gospel of Christ. Our children will have to pay a horrible price to make up for our cowardice at this juncture of our nation's history."

GODLY CHARGE TO OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

This charge was part of the Hate Crimes packet we delivered to each Senate office and the media.

"Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34)."

"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God (Psalm 9:17)."

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own
inheritance (Psalm 33:12)."

President Lincoln, in his famous Gettysburg Address, commenced his notable speech by stating, “Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation, so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure."

During the crucible of the Civil War, America doubted if our nation could "long endure." In light of our spiritual and moral condition, would it be prudent to consider this same sobering premise today? Honestly, in our current state, I do not see how we can avoid its implications. For decades, America has been on a steady march, one that has abandoned the God of our fathers and the biblical principles that faithfully served our nation's history through dark and difficult days.

In the 1960s, this betrayal against heaven and our nation's spiritual heritage culminated in one disastrous Supreme Court decision after another. In essence, our federal government served the God of the Bible His official "eviction notice." The judicial decrees demanded He depart from our government, vacate our schools, and leave our children alone.

Nowadays, we stand in awkward amazement as our nation experiences the evil wrought by these foolish decisions, which is currently savaging this generation. In our mad pursuit of separating church from state, we have separated God from the public life of our nation. Nature abhors a vacuum, however, and violence and perversion of unprecedented order have replaced Him.

Our government is corrupt and becoming increasingly tyrannical. Our public schools have morphed into war zones. American parents through the wicked practice of abortion cannibalize their babies. They choose self-empowerment and personal convenience, at the expense of the God-given right to life of their children. Homosexual/sodomy, which biblically means the "burning out of man," runs rampant. Historically, widespread homosexuality has been one of the social malignancies that have preceded the fall of nations, i.e. Greece, Rome, etc.

As our government defends these indefensible abominations, good becomes evil and evil is codified into law. Tragically, the causality is self-evident truth. It is now considered hate, to those who hate the truth. Though America still desires the fruits of the Christian faith-prosperity, protection, liberty, and other common grace blessings-we have rejected the root, which is Jesus Christ, Himself. How can we maintain these heavenly benefits, while doing everything in our power to offend, sever, and distance ourselves from its blessed source? We end up as Thomas Jefferson warned, "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be."

As America "slouches towards Sodom," our government faces another checkpoint along the slippery slope. It is called "Hate Crimes" legislation. The House version H.R. 1913 passed by a 249-175 vote. As Patrick Henry once stated, "This is no time for ceremony." The House betrayed America's experiment with liberty by wrapping perversion in the American flag. By refusing to define the term "sexual orientation," the House has made sexual criminals a federally protected class with the stroke of a pen. There is no easy way to state this, but shame on the House of Representatives. They failed in representing the legitimate interest of the American people by voting for this tyrannical piece of legislation.

As I write, the Senate is wrestling with their version of "Hate Crimes," S. 909. Historically, the US Senate prided itself on being the "World's Greatest Deliberative Body." If this statement was ever true, it certainly needs to be in this desperate hour as precious freedoms hang in the balance. Deliberation is needful in this crucial matter but, after all is said and done, will the Senate cave to the homosexual juggernaut or will they defeat this mischief being framed into "law?" President Obama wants to sign this bill by Memorial Day. With the House and the president locked in an unholy alliance, The US Senate is the last line of defense for righteousness. This godly charge is written to encourage the US Senate not to cave to political correctness, but to "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and to our Posterity," as our Constitution states.

If the Senate yields and votes "aye" on S. 909, the federal government will be responsible for furthering American liberty's slide into licentiousness. American freedom as we know it will cease to exist. Lawlessness will increase amongst American citizens, which will in turn, establish tyranny in our civil government. Proverbs 28:2 warns, "For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged."

Congressman Robert C. Winthrop grasped the significance of God's wisdom. He stated, "All societies of men must be governed in some way or other. The less they have of stringent State Government, the more they must have of individual self-government. The less they rely on public law or physical force, the more they must rely on private moral restraint. Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled either by a power within them, or a power without them; either by the word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible or by the bayonet."

Almighty God concurs, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live (Deuteronomy 30:19)." If our government continues to promote abortion and the homosexual agenda, death and cursing will continue to shape America's future. Therefore, it behooves the Senate of the United States to not only reject and defeat S. 909, but act to end abortion on demand and the homosexual agenda. Either these abominations cease or America as we know it will end.
