Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn,

Here is the second installment of the KLI Blog teachings. if you find any merit, please pass it on in your sphere of influence. Thanks!

How to use the KLI: Online Worldview Training:

When you study the Holy Scriptures, how do you do it? First, you research. You compare scripture to scripture, consult a concordance, dictionary, and a Bible commentary. Then you reason from the biblical truths and identify spiritual principles. Finally, you relate these truths and spiritual principles to your own life. Many people record their Bible studies. To help you develop a biblical worldview you will use the research, reason, relate, and record teaching method, popularly called the Principle Approach. To learn more about the Principle Approach for teaching and learning, visit the http://www.face.net Foundation for American Christian Education.

Select and print the lesson below. There are 10 lessons, each one containing scriptures and words to define using the online Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary. The study questions are designed to help you develop a biblical worldview and the principles of godly leadership. The training is based on the book, The Kingdom Leadership Institute Manual: Raising Up Leaders a Time Like This Demands, by Rev. Rusty Lee Thomas.

Lesson 2: The Battle of Two Seeds

The first preaching of the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, occurs in Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

In the genealogy of the Savior, we see the fulfillment of this promise. For brevity's sake, lets first begin with the call to Abraham, "And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice" (Genesis 22:18). That promise continued through Isaac, Jacob, Judah, and King David, finally culminating in the birth of Jesus Christ. Galatians 4:4 explains, "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law."

As the true, long awaited seed was born, the evil seed was exposed. Both John the Baptist, the forerunner of Christ, and Jesus himself identified the

"seed of the serpent" in their day. John the Baptist rebuked the Pharisees and Sadducees, calling them, "O generation of vipers" (Matthew 3:7). Similarly, Jesus warned the Pharisees and scribes, "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell" (Matthew 23:33).

What does the Bible teach about the seed of the wicked? Read Job 27:13-23; Psalm 21:8-10 and 37:28; Isaiah 57:13. What will be their end?

Read Isaiah 57.

Reason from the scriptures and your word study. What are some of the characteristics of the seed of the wicked (Isaiah 57, verses 3, 4, 5, 8, 10)? Do you see these characteristics in the world around you? How do they manifest? Is the seed of the wicked reproducing itself? Write down your thoughts below.

Notice from the scripture, Lucifer makes a fivefold boast accentuated by the arrogant declarations concerning his self-will. Proudly he announces,

"I will do this" and "I will do that," without any regret or concern for his Creator's will. This elevation of the devil's will over and above God's will, is one of the major demarcations lines exposing the battle of the age- a battle between two seeds and two competing worldviews.

The seed of the serpent haughtily chants, "My rights, my body, my choice. I am going to do what I want to do, when I want to do it, and with whomever I want do it." Meanwhile, the seed of the woman simply bows in humility before a holy God and cries, "Not my will, but thine be done" (Luke 22:42).

These two contrasting attitudes, "thy will" versus "my will," serve as an x-ray into our heart, determining whether we are children of God or children of the devil. Biblically, the seed of the woman comprises all those who are truly born-again of God's spirit. The seed of the serpent are all those who reject him as Lord. Relate what you have learned to your own life. Of what seed are you? Are you demanding your own way or are you living in submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the King of Kings?

The Old Deluder

It is important to observe the nature of Satan's boast in Isaiah 14:12-15, for it contains a revelation that exposes his goal and agenda. "I will be like

the most High," is his last boastful "I will." The ultimate pursuit of Satan is to be like God.

In light of this, a few ramifications must be explored. First, as a fallen angel, Lucifer had been in the presence of God in eternity past. He witnessed the very personhood, attributes, and divine characteristics of the Triune God up close. That vaunted position gave him a limited understanding of the Creator. He knew enough of God's greatness to become jealous but not enough to know rebellion against him was doomed. Based upon this imperfect knowledge of God, Satan seeks to counterfeit and pervert the attributes of God to further his own demonic agenda. The Apostle Paul warned of this spiritual treachery.

Copy 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 below.

Clearly, Satan uses religion as a demonic instrument of deception to mask his intent to kill, steal, and destroy. This is why the powers of darkness,

the seed of the serpent, parade "ministers" around to grant religious endorsement and spiritual legitimacy to things abominable to God.

Record Proverbs 12:10 below.

As William Shakespeare wrote in the Merchant of Venice, "The devil can cite scripture for his purpose." Our Founding Fathers understood how

Satan deceives. They had a term for him, "The Old Deluder," and even a law to safeguard colonists against his deception. In order to protect believers, the first educational law was established for the purpose of teaching children within the township to read and write

IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURES. In this way, the "Old Deluder" would not be able to deceive. The Old Deluder Act of 1647 read, "It being one chief project of that old deluder, Satan, to keep men from the knowledge of the Scriptures...so that at least the true sense and meaning of the original might be clouded and corrupted with false glosses of saint-seeming deceivers."

Relate what you have learned to your own life and the world around you. Have you ever come under the influence of the "Old Deluder?" In what

ways have you been led into error? Where do you see delusion in the culture? How can you bring the truth of God's Word to these areas of delusion?

In the name of love, compassion, tolerance, and mercy, Satan is killing, stealing, and destroying the humanity that Christ, the seed of woman, came

to redeem. G.K. Chesterton summed up this sorry state of affairs by saying, "The modern world is full of old Christian virtues gone mad." It's time to use the truth of the Gospel to bring soundness of mind back to our nation. For a fuller treatise of the subject, read
