The Lord richly bless you. This letter is being sent to those who have consistently stood with us this year. Your faithful love, prayers and support have been God's source that has allowed us to travel the length and breadth of America. It has also been God's supply to help us fight the battle for the souls of men, the lives of our children and the future of our nation. Mere words of thanks are not enough to communicate our gratefulness to the Lord and to you for helping us pour out our lives in service to our King.
2009 was a busy year. It was filled with many challenges, opportunities, and yes, some victories. Some were turned to righteousness, young people were trained to become the next generation of leaders, babies and mothers were spared the horrors of abortion, the Church was challenged to obey Her Lord, and our nation received a consistent, prophetic witness. The Crown-Rights of our King Jesus, the standard of His Law, and the great salvation of our loving Savior was presented to many.
2009 took us all over America on the frontlines in the battle. With your assistance, we helped other states establish Pro-life parks similar to Rachel's Park Memorial in our hometown of Waco, TX. We participated in several Shake the Nation conferences throughout America. The vision and mission is to "dynamite" the church out of the pew and into the streets, to become the salt and light our nation desperately needs in these days.
We traveled several times to Washington, DC to stand for righteousness. First, we delivered to Obama a Prophetic Prayer Proclamation and a personal letter calling him to repent of his wicked policies. We went as well to confront and denounce the tyrannical "Hate Crimes" legislation and the current "Health Care" debacle with its provision to fund abortions with our tax dollars. In September, we went back again to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to the gathering of Muslims at our nation's capital. We unashamedly proclaimed that Allah and Mohammed are powerless to save the souls of men. There is only one named given amongst men whereby man's souls must be saved and that name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth (Acts 4:12).
In July, we went to Las Vegas to participate in Operation Save America's national event. We publicly declared, "There is another King one called Jesus and His laws are binding upon all people, at all times, and in every nation." We went to the sin centers and watched the Lord go before us and shut down local death camps (abortion mills) and set the captive free on the highways and byways of sin city.
2009 also brought with it incredible advances in our writing ministry. Our first book, The Kingdom Leadership Institute Manual was published nationally. Thus far, it has received 5 star reviews on Amazon.com. We have three other books waiting in the wings to publish. They are currently rough drafts, but will soon be edited by my lovely and gifted wife, Kendra. The titles of the books are Abortion Violation, Onward Christian Soldier: Guardian of Freedom, and A Voice Crying in the Wilderness. The door opened as well to become a columnist for Wisdom Gate, publisher of 4 Christian magazines.
2009 created more opportunities to be interviewed by the media, both Christian and secular sources. Quotes from our ministry literally traversed the globe. Several radio programs allowed us to take on the burning issues of the day and address them through the grid of God's Word. Through print, TV, and radio, Elijah Ministries did our best to represent God's heart and message in our beleaguered nation. Moreover, we were blessed to be filmed in two upcoming DVDs produced by Eric Holmberg. One is called the Abortion Matrix, which is the sequel to the Massacre of Innocence and the other is called Go, Stand, and Speak, which promotes street preaching, a lost discipline in the Church of Jesus Christ.
As a father, my greatest joy for 2009 can be summed up in the words of the Apostle John, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (3 John 1:4)." To have my children by my side storming the gates of hell and watching the Holy Spirit solidify their faith in Christ is joy unspeakable and full of glory. The Thomas Nation recently made world headlines by running to the roar of the enemy that killed and wounded many of our brave soldiers at Ft. Hood. Their pictures, quotes, and banners brought the love of Jesus Christ to the hurting and denounced Islam, which inspired the massacre.
2010 will carry many increased challenges and opportunities. By God's grace, the Thomas Nation and Elijah Ministries plan to press on in the high calling and prize of serving our Lord's purposes as His ambassadors. To do so effectually, we covet your prayers and financial partnership.
The last 4 years have specifically taken its financial toll upon us as a family and ministry. In essence, some of the time, we go to battle at our own expense. This is not a complaint. The times are serious and demand that we stay faithful in our service to God, regardless, of the cost.
As we close out 2009 and set our face like flint towards 2010, would you consider helping us to gain some financial traction for the New Year? I know these are difficult economic days, but would you consider a one-time gift to help alleviate our debt or commit to become a faithful monthly supporter? Either way, we could sure use the help for the battles and opportunities, which await us in 2010.
I thank you in advance for your prayerful response and may the fruit our ministry produces be added to your account according to the good Word of the Lord.
