NOBODY’S FOOL 2008

Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn,

The Lord richly bless you! The following is a Letter to the Editor that was excepted for publication by our local paper. We addressed Planned Parenthood's annual conference called Nobody's Fool. Elijah Ministries joined with other saints as well to warn unsuspecting parents of the danger of giving over their children to this wolf in sheep's clothing sexual indoctrination.

For the past 19 years, Planned Parenthood has hosted an annual conference called "Nobody's Fool." According to their website, "The purpose of Nobody's Fool is to encourage abstinence, promote parent-child communication and give medically accurate and age-appropriate facts about sexuality issues..." Does this vision statement correspond with Planned Parenthood's historical agenda? According to Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, one of the main purposes of her organization is to promote "Unlimited sexual gratification without the burden of unwanted children..." Faye Wattleton, another past president, stated, "We are not going to be an organization promoting celibacy and chastity." Obviously, Planned Parenthood is sending a mixed message. On the one hand, they seem to give lip service to abstinence, which is the only fool-proof method to protect children from the ravages of sexual promiscuity. On the other hand, they open the door to sexual exploration by believing that abstinence will not work for all children, because some will act upon their
sexual urges, regardless of abstinence training.

It is this fatal flaw that calls into question the integrity of their mission when it comes to the welfare of children. Would their agenda be considered legitimate if it came to other potential dangerous behavior children practice? For instance, some children lie with straight faces. Would Planned Parenthood hold conferences that teach, "If you are going to lie anyway, then make sure you do it responsibly?" The same would hold true for suicide, stealing, cheating, and other sinful and criminal behavior.

If we would consider these examples ludicrous, then why do we endorse Planned Parenthood when it comes to their "safe sex" indoctrination? Safe sex is an oxymoron. Outside of the marriage covenant, between one man and one woman, there is no such thing as "safe sex" because there is no such thing as safe sin. Whether
we like it or not, believe it or not, fornication, sex outside of marriage, adultery, and homosexuality are sins that bring devastation to the individuals that practice them and a nation that condones them. And all the condoms, birth control, and abortions in the world cannot heal the breach, but only add to the suffering.

God's word warns that we are not to stir up nor awaken love before the time (Song of Solomon). Why? Because children are not emotionally, mentally, physically, morally or spiritually capable to correctly handle its benefits nor its responsibilities.

So, what is the purpose for Nobody's Fool? Is it to "encourage abstinence, promote parent-child communication and give medically accurate and age-appropriate facts about sexuality issues..." or is it an indoctrination conference designed to ensure future clients at Planned Parenthood's abortion clinics? Waco parents need to choose wisely. Their children's future hangs in the balance.

McDONALD’s BOYCOTT

Several Pro-family groups are joining a national campaign to boycott McDonalds. The giant fast food chain is going the way of Ford, Wal-mart, and many other deceived corporations in America. They are using their name, money, and influence to support the intolerable, the homosexual agenda.

The following is a brief message that we sent to their corporate headquarters. I would encourage all of you to not only join this boycott, but encourage others to do the same. If McDonalds will not respond to moral appeal, perhaps they will respond to a plummeting economy.

Dear McDonalds,

I am deeply offended by your overt promotion of the tragic homosexual agenda. I am a father of 13 children and a minister with some influence. I am joining this much-needed boycott and will encourage others to join as well.

As more become aware of your treachery against the family, your revenues will fall dramatically. Just ask Ford and Wal-mart what happened to their "bottom line," when they foolishly chose to defend the indefensible and support the intolerable.

I pray that soon you will come back to being family-friendly and return to a sound economic and moral position. Until then, you will not be earning any of our money nor our patronage.

Rev. Rusty Lee Thomas Biography

With his theological insights and understanding of American Christian history, Rev. Thomas stands poised to lift up the banner of the Lord Jesus Christ to a generation that is forfeiting its destiny by disobeying God’s word.

Rev. Thomas spent six years as a traveling evangelist and two years as a pastor in St. Petersburg, Fl.  In 1994, he became the assistant to Rev. Flip Benham, National Director of Operation Rescue/Operation Save America.  Altogether, he has over 25 years of experience as a full time minister, public speaker, and writer.

His many publicized legal, social, and political battles over the burning social issues of the day have gained him a unique platform for advancing the Kingdom of Christ in our nation.  He has been a frequent guest on local and national media outlets addressing the burning issues of the day with the Word of God.

Rev. Thomas has a father’s mantle and spreads a vision to reclaim the masculine identity that has been severely damaged in America.  He and his wife, Kendra Thomas, home school thirteen children in the Thomas Nation’s University of Righteousness.

A classically trained actor, Rev. Thomas graduated Magna Cum Laude from Los Angeles Valley College where he also received the prestigious Honor Chancellors Award.  After his official training, he started in full time ministry with New Life Drama Company home based in Cleveland, TN.

In 1985, Rev. Thomas and his first wife, Liz, who passed away from cancer in August of 2005, started Elijah Ministries.  Elijah Ministries is a teaching, preaching, and writing ministry dedicated to imparting a Biblical worldview to the Church of Jesus Christ that provides the theological basis to fulfill the “Great Commission.”  The ultimate goal is to reform the Church to restore America.

In 1998, Rev. Thomas established the Kingdom Leadership Institute.  Through the KLI, Rev. Thomas strategically makes an investment in the next generation.  He trains young people to become leaders a time like this demands. The godly goal is to identify, equip, and send forth the next generation of righteous leaders who are marked by courage, vision, and a Biblical worldview. Young people who will become, in their generation, the repairers of the breach (Isaiah 58:12 & 61:4). The KLI is a week long intensified discipleship, training program that is great for youth groups and camps.

In 2000, Rev. Thomas founded and built a unique Christian/Pro-life park called Rachel’s Park Memorial in Waco, TX.  RPM is designed to minister to post-abortive families.  The name for the park comes from Jeremiah 31:15, which states, “Thus saith the Lord; a voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.”

Rachel’s Park Memorial reinforces the value and dignity of preborn children and deals with the deadly wound abortion has afflicted against our children, families, Church, government, law, and culture.  According to Rev. Thomas, “At some point, America will be forced to come to grips with our complicity and complacency concerning this grave evil.  We must therefore be prepared to adequately care for those devastated by this sin and crime.”  The goal is to establish one park in every state of the union. 

In 2008, Rev. Thomas, established Reformation Weekend.  It addresses the struggles within the Church concerning the toll our American culture has taken upon Christian homes, families, and children.  In response to the great need, four sessions are made available to deal with the roots of this struggle. The godly goal is to rebuild the altars and relay the foundations that are starting to crumble within this generation.

The topics covered are authentic Biblical manhood, womanhood, educating our young, and the need for reformation.
